Mediation confidentiality reform still up for grabs
The battle between eliminate certain aspects of mediation confidentiality continues with a proposed Senate resolution to reauthorize the California Law Revision Commission's work.

Recently, I discussed the introduction of Senate Bill 954 that has deflated the effort by the California Law Revision Commission to eliminate certain aspects of mediation confidentiality in this state. Due to its nearly unanimous rejection by all affected stakeholder organizations (32), the commission has failed to find a member of either the Assembly or the Senate to carry a bill supporting its Study K-402 recommendation.
