Write to dream
A while back, I dabbled in writing screenplays. One of the books on how to write a script said something that has stuck with me: To a viewer, a movie should feel like a dream. The viewer drifts into it, totally, even though it’s not real.

By conventional standards, I'm no great writer. My vocabulary is no better than average. I don't keep a style manual on my desk. Or a dictionary. Or a thesaurus. And I'm no punctuation and grammar maven. I vaguely recall the term "subjunctive mood" from high school, but I'm still not sure what it means.
I'm not lazy. I just come at writing from a different place.
