I read with amusement Professor Susan Bakhshian's Aug. 3 op-ed in the Daily Journal, where she argues that the California Bar Exam should be eliminated as a requirement to licensure because legal exams are fundamentally flawed and outdated. According to Professor Bakhshian, "[a]n exam is an excellent tool for licensing attorneys in a bygone era by relying on memorization seldom used in practice - not skills actually used in ably representing clients."
