US citizen class appeals ruling for Meta on hiring H-1B holders
In the notice of appeal, the plaintiffs stated they were discriminated against because Meta, the parent company of Facebook, would be able to pay the visa holders lower wages than applicants who were American citizens.




A class of plaintiffs who sued Meta Platforms for allegedly discriminating against Americans by favoring H-1B visa holders in hiring filed an appeal Tuesday to the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, challenging the idea that U.S. citizens per se were not a protected class under the Civil Rights Act.
