Judge reduces fees for class counsel in Soccer discrimination case
U.S. District Judge R. Gary Klausner entered his ruling after former goalkeeper Hope Solo objected that the work done by the plaintiffs’ attorneys on behalf of the national women’s soccer team was not worth the $6.6 million in fees they sought.




A U.S. judge reduced fees to class counsel in the discrimination case against the U.S. Soccer Federation by more than $1 million. Counsel will get $5.5 million for representing women players in the equal pay dispute, the judge ruled.
