Dobbs draft opinion leak becomes Supreme Court cold case

The report by Marshal Gail Curley stated that investigators interviewed 97 court employees, some more than once, and that all of them signed affidavits, under penalty of perjury, affirming that they did not disclose the draft opinion.

Last summer, prominent conservative appellate specialist Kannon K. Shanmugam told the 9th Circuit Judicial Conference he doubted the U.S. Supreme Court would ever learn who leaked the opinion that overturned Roe v. Wade.

“I’m skeptical that anything is going to happen,” said Shanmugam, a former clerk of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia and one of the small group of attorneys who regularly argue before the high court.
