'Cultural appropriation' claim prompts mistrial in toy dispute

U.S. District Judge James V. Selna had barred lawyers for the pop group OMG Girlz from bringing up the topic.

A federal judge granted children's toy manufacturer MGA Entertainment Inc. a mistrial Wednesday in an intellectual property lawsuit brought by Clifford "T.I." Harris and pop group OMG Girlz after banned testimony about cultural appropriation was introduced to the jury.
