Contempt hearing set in Suicidal Tendencies royalty lawsuit
Bassist Louis “Louiche” Mayorga sued Frontier Records’ founder Lisa Fancher alleging unpaid royalties for the band’s self-titled album and specifically the 1983 breakout hit “Institutionalized” that he cowrote. The litigation has primarily dealt with the issue of streaming rights to the song and album.





A contempt hearing has been scheduled for the head of punk rock label Frontier Records accused of flouting a preliminary injunction allowing a musician on her roster to audit the company’s records in a dispute over royalties.
According to a minute order published Friday by Los Angeles County Judge Stuart M. Rice, the hearing will be on a motion for attorney fees in connection with contempt proceedings. The hearing is scheduled for March 30...
