Bar employees didn't understand conflict of interest, says report

The bar released two redacted reports detailing the agency’s handling of the Thomas V. Girardi matters, including a former State Bar investigator (and his wife) receiving gifts and payments estimated at over $1 million from Girardi while employed at the bar.

A State Bar investigator and his wife received more than $1 million in gifts and payments, while several bar board members, executives and staff were treated to meals, private plane rides, concerts and parties by now-disbarred and indicted plaintiffs' attorney Thomas V. Girardi, according to two reports the agency released Friday.
