Disney pay suit with tardy discovery gets more time
In the last conference in October, Judge Elihu M. Berle chided the attorneys for not having settled the basics and wondered if the statute of limitations would run out before they get to trial. He repeated his concerns on Monday, after approving their pre-class certification briefing schedule, asking both sides why they needed two months to respond to each other’s filings.




A proposed class action against The Walt Disney Co. alleging unequal pay for female employees took a step forward on Monday when a Los Angeles County judge set a date of Nov. 15 for a discovery hearing, which will be more than four years after the case was filed.
