CPUC won’t let Lyft adopt demanded safety measures, lawyers say
The Public Utilities Commission has either rejected the suggested measures or is still studying them, Lyft’s attorneys argued, adding that the plaintiff’s negligence claims in a bellwether trial in San Francisco therefore fall away and a court cannot order the company to do something the commission hasn’t authorized.
