No legislative interest in increasing fees, State Bar officials are told

There is a “crisis of confidence,” Senate Judiciary Committee Chair Sen. Tom Umberg told bar officials.

Before any California legislators consider increasing State Bar fees, the agency must take steps to rebuild its tainted image with the profession and the public, Sen. Tom Umberg, chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee, told bar officials at a hearing.
