Twitter threatens Meta with trade secrets claim
Hours after Meta launched Threads, Quinn Emmanuel Urquhart & Sullivan partner Alex Spiro accused Meta of hiring dozens of former Twitter employees to use confidential information and improperly retained documents to develop a copycat app.




In a cease-and-desist letter, Elon Musk’s attorney, Alexander B. Spiro, threatened to sue Meta Platforms Inc., accusing it of “systematic, willful and unlawful misappropriation of Twitter’s trade secrets and other intellectual property” as well as scraping data from the social media platform, now named X Corp.
