Chinese tech company sues TikTok in US court
While TikTok challenged Meishe’s specific ability to prove injury in the U.S., the 5th Circuit’s opinion written by Circuit Judge Jerry E. Smith noted, “The parties do not dispute at this point in the litigation that the Chinese copyrights are enforceable in the United States.”




A copyright infringement lawsuit by a Chinese tech company, accusing TikTok Inc. of infringing on its Chinese copyrights and stealing trade secrets related to video-editing software codes, was transferred to federal court in San Jose on Tuesday.
