New suit filed in fight between plasma semiconductor companies

Applied Materials, one of the leaders in the chipmaking software essential to the creation of semiconductors and the defendant in the new case, had previously accused Mattson Inc., the plaintiff, of similar trade secret theft in a lawsuit filed in June.

One of the leaders in the development of plasma semiconductors, Mattson Inc., accused a former research fellow and a former manager of stealing trade secrets and taking them to a competing technology company.
