Lawyer sanctioned for objecting to deadline only days ahead
“The court does not find credible defendant’s claim that it never agreed to that extension because defendant did not raise such an objection for more than a month after plaintiff confirmed the May 19, 2023 deadline in writing, multiple times,” Los Angeles Judge Alison M. Mackenzie wrote.




A Los Angeles County judge approved nearly $4,000 in sanctions against the Law Offices of Sheldon Rosenfield for failing to meet a deadline for interrogatory responses in an employment case against a trucking company. The judge found that the firm objected to the deadline days before it was scheduled, despite knowing about it for several weeks beforehand.
