
Gideon Kanner, a fierce defender of property rights who helped to found the California Academy of Appellate Lawyers, has died. He was 93.
Kanner died Nov. 22 at a hospital in Burbank.
"He was a man of great talent. Acerbic, incisive, and very bright," said Jerome "Jerry" Braun, a founder of Farella Braun + Martel LLP. "He did not suffer fools lightly."
