San Fernando Valley hospital sued over data breach
By collecting patients’ information “defendant assumed legal and equitable duties to those individuals to protect and safeguard that information from unauthorized access and intrusion,” M. Anderson Berry of Arnold Law Firm wrote in the complaint.

A hospital in the San Fernando Valley is accused of negligence and five other causes of action in connection with a data breach that the plaintiff says affected more than 21,000 customers.
