Amazon claims impasse on time limit for executives’ depositions
The dispute stems from the complaint filed by Attorney General Rob Bonta’s office in September 2022, accusing Amazon of inducing retailers and wholesalers to sign “anticompetitive agreements on price” that “prevent effective price competition.”
SAN FRANCISCO — There is an impasse over how long Amazon’s executives should have to sit for depositions in the California Department of Justice’s antitrust lawsuit, the technology company’s attorneys told a judge Thursday.
The state denied there is an impasse and opposed the request by Amazon’s counsel that Superior Court Judge Ethan P. Schulman intervene.
