9th Circuit set to hear challenge to state gun law
The state attorney general's office has drawn what appears to be a favorable panel, with two of the three judges having been appointed by Democratic presidents -- increasing the odds that the law will survive for now.




The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals will consider the first of several arguments on California gun laws Wednesday, as Attorney General Rob Bonta appeals a lower court decision that the California Assault Weapons Control Act's decades-old ban on semi-automatic rifles is unconstitutional.
