Trump is not disqualified from being president

Section 3 of the 14th amendment bars a disqualified person from holding office, not from being elected.

When the disqualification issue hits SCOTUS we will be in for a fascinating history lesson with respect to enforcement. The point of Section 3 of the 14th amendment was to keep confederates out of public office in reunified America. Many of them wanted back into government. Georgia elected former confederate Vice President Alexander Stephens to the Senate. He was excluded.
