San Francisco guaranteed income program called racist and sexist
The complaint, filed by Judicial Watch on behalf of three San Francisco citizens, argues that the GIFT program’s prioritization of African-American or Latino transgender people applying violates the equal protection clause of the California Constitution.

Judicial Watch Inc., a conservative nonprofit organization, on Monday sued San Francisco Mayor London Breed and three other city officials claiming race and gender discrimination in the city’s implementation of the Guaranteed Income for Transgender People or GIFT program.
The program, announced in November 2022, allows indigent transgender people in San Francisco to apply for $1,200 a month in financial assistance for up to 18 months.
