25 counties settle hazardous waste suit against Tesla for $1.5M

In the complaint, San Joaquin County District Attorney Ronald J. Freitas detailed California’s “cradle to grave” legal structure meant to prevent companies from committing violations such as those alleged against Tesla.

The 25 counties that sued Tesla Inc. announced a $1.5 million settlement Thursday, just two days later, in a lawsuit claiming the company illegally dumped hazardous materials at its facilities throughout the state.
