Lassen County judge engaged in misconduct, special masters find

The report doesn't make a specific recommendation of removal or other punishment for Judge Tony R. Mallery.

A panel of three special masters has found that Lassen County Judge Tony R. Mallery engaged in numerous counts of misconduct, according to a report shared with the Daily Journal.

The Commission on Judicial Performance announced 21 counts of alleged misconduct against Mallery in 2022. Many of these related to racist, sexist or threatening statements towards court staff, attorneys or others.
