Citibank denies discriminating against Armenian customers

"Plaintiff's claims are barred because defendant's actions were supported by race-neutral, objective, substantial, and legitimate business rationales," Troutman Pepper Hamilton Sanders LLP partner Kalama M. Lui-Kwan wrote in a court filing.

An attorney for Citibank denied claims that its employees were trained to deny and cancel credit cards for Armenians and wrote that the federal putative class action brought against the bank should be arbitrated.
