Judges’ age bias case dismissed, appeal promised
Superior Court Judge Joseph M. Quinn wrote in his order that the plaintiff judges had failed to show that the time limit on participating in the Temporary Judges Program disparately impacted retired judges’ over 70.




A San Francisco judge granted summary judgment Tuesday for California Chief Justice Patricia Guerrero in an age discrimination lawsuit brought by seven retired judges against challenging a 1,320-day service limit on serving in the Temporary Assigned Judges Program.
Superior Court Judge Joseph M. Quinn wrote in his order that the plaintiffs had failed to show that the time limit disparately impacted retired judges’ over 70.
