Monsanto’s 7th California trial over Roundup starts in Sonoma County

The company has secured three defense verdicts, but its biggest loss in California courts came in the 2019 Pilliod trial, where a judge ordered the company to pay $2.05 billion.

Jury selection is underway in Sonoma County’s first trial involving Monsanto Company defending against claims that its Roundup herbicides cause users to develop Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. It’s the seventh such trial in California.
