Firms urge US courts to allow live-streamed testimony

The suggested changes would also clarify the courts’ ability to issue subpoenas compelling a witness to testify via live transmission from any location within certain geographic limitations.

Several top plaintiff firms asked the federal judiciary’s rulemaking committee to modify procedural guidelines for civil trials and allow live-streamed testimony as an alternative for witnesses unable to attend in person.
