Oakland man sentenced to 6 months in prison for insider trading

Dileep Kumar Reddy Kamujula acknowledged that he used information provided by a cousin who worked at a cloud communications company to make trades during the pandemic.

A relative of an employee at cloud communications company Twilio Inc. was sentenced Friday to serve six months in a federal prison for insider trading.

Oakland resident Dileep Kumar Reddy Kamujula was also ordered by U.S. District Judge Jon S. Tigar to forfeit $130,369. United States v. Kamujula, 4:22-CR-00131, (N.D. Cal. filed Mar. 24, 2022)
