Google fights class certification for data auctioning litigation
The consolidated complaint alleges that although Google promises users that their data will not be sold to third parties or used for advertising purposes, the company auctions this information to thousands of entities through real-time bidding.




Attorneys for Google LLC urged a federal judge on Wednesday not to certify a class of consumer plaintiffs accusing the company of auctioning personal data through its real-time bidding system.
