Judge sustains ‘Rust’ producers’ demurrers in LA lawsuit
A judge sustained a demurrer from actor Alec Baldwin and other producers of the film “Rust” to claims of loss of consortium by cinematographer Halyna Hutchins’ family, including her mother, father, and sister.
A Los Angeles judge sustained demurrers by actor Alec Baldwin and other producers of the film “Rust” accused of negligence in the 2021 accidental shooting death of the film’s cinematographer. The ruling came as the film’s armorer went on trial in related criminal proceedings in New Mexico and Baldwin awaits criminal proceedings.
