Class action alleges microplastics in Evian’s ‘natural’ water

A class complaint in Los Angeles County Superior Court accuses the maker of Evian of falsely labeling its bottled water as “natural spring water” even though it allegedly contains microplastics.
The complaint, filed Tuesday on behalf of a Los Angeles resident, asserts two causes of action: violation of Sections 17500 and 17200 of California’s Unfair Competition Law.
