Real estate industry accused too-high sales commissions

The lawsuit claims that the average 5-6% commission split between seller’s and buyer’s agents is far higher than in other countries.

Real estate company Redfin Corp. is accused of conspiring with realtor associations to conspire against a plaintiff and putative class members to fix and inflate the price of buyers’ real estate agent commissions in California to supra-competitive levels.
