California’s PAGA law may make return trip to U.S. Supreme Court

The justices should decide as soon as next week whether to accept review of the writs of certiorari filed by Uber Technologies Inc. and Lyft Inc. of separate rulings by the 2nd District Court of Appeal.

The U.S. Supreme Court on Friday will consider challenges by two leading ridesharing companies against California state court rulings that allow a plaintiff’s claims on behalf of co-workers under the Private Attorney Generals Act to be decided in court.
