Tire companies attempt to dismiss claims over toxic chemicals

According to the complaint, tire companies began using 6PPD-q in the 1950s to prevent cracking, and the rubber preservative is now found in unsafe concentrations in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Seattle watersheds.
