Judge halts proceedings in COVID-19 test kits fraud case

Judge Stuart M. Rice hopes to reach a stipulation and proposed order that would allow for certain discovery. Disruptive Nanotechnology accuses Innova Medical Group of defrauding it of hundreds of millions of dollars.

A judge stayed proceedings in Los Angeles County Superior Court between two companies that had lucrative contracts to supply the U.K. government with COVID-19 test kits pending the outcome of the defendant’s appeal of the court’s denial of their motions to compel arbitration.
