Judge rethinks ballot initiative nonprofit says is aimed at it
The initiative, proposed by the California Apartment Association, aims to save taxpayers millions by preventing health care providers from selling discounted prescription drugs at huge markups. The plaintiff, AIDS Healthcare Foundation, says it would only apply to them.
SACRAMENTO - A Superior Court judge said Monday she is reconsidering her tentative ruling dismissing the AIDS Healthcare Foundation's bid to keep off the November ballot an initiative that says its aim is to save taxpayers millions by keeping some health care providers from selling discounted prescription drugs at huge markups.
