Tesla fears trade secrets at risk in Caltrans litigation

Tesla confidentially settled with the family of a man who perished in a 2018 car accident while using the auto pilot feature on his Tesla vehicle but have weighed back in on the case with a request to restrict to restrict information released during related proceedings against Caltrans.

The family of an Apple engineer who perished in a 2018 car accident while using the autopilot feature on his Tesla vehicle told a Santa Clara judge Monday that Tesla Inc. "is not entitled to any semblance of secrecy" in an upcoming wrongful death trial.
