Federal judge grants bail to white supremacist leader

U.S. District Judge Cormac J. Carney took the opportunity to again chastise the government's conduct in what he described as a "selectively prosecuted" case.

A Santa Ana federal judge criticized the constitutionality of the government's prosecution after granting bail to an accused white supremacist leader who was rearrested after being freed of incitement charges for the second time in five years.

However, Robert Rundo's release is stayed pending a review by the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, pursuant to a prior ruling that ordered any future district court decision to release him to be stayed for at least 96 hours.
