National fraternity can't be held liable for death of pledge at UC Riverside
Alpha Phi Alpha - Pi Epsilon Chapter, Alpha Phi Alpha Western Region, and the Regents of the University of California remain in the case.
A Riverside County judge dismissed the national organization of Alpha Phi Alpha from a lawsuit that was filed by the family of Tyler Hilliard, a UC Riverside student who died during a hazing ritual.
Superior Court Judge Carol A. Greene dismissed all six causes of actions against Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. on April 19.
