'You have been sued' - and other unwitting insults of the procedural divorce

SB 1427 passed on the consent calendar in the California State Senate on May 9, 2024, and has been referred to the State Assembly. It is an important step towards making California's family law processes more consistent with the policy of encouraging peaceful and fair resolution of disputes.
