$10M settlement proposed after investigation into cell company marketing practices

According to three complaints and a proposed settlement order filed in San Francisco Superior Court, Bonta's office accused three major telecommunications companies of violating California's Unfair Competition Law and False Advertising Law.

California Attorney General Rob Bonta and a bipartisan, multistate coalition on Thursday announced a $10.25 million proposed settlement with three of the nation's largest telecommunication companies − T-Mobile USA, Inc., Verizon Wireless, and AT&T Mobility LLC − and their subsidiaries over accusations of deceitful marketing.
