New options for campuses in sexual assault hearings following Title IX rule changes
The Biden administration recently revised Title IX regulations that govern how colleges and universities handle sexual assault allegations. The new rules, which will take effect in August, modify some of the controversial aspects of the Trump-era rules.

On April 19 the Biden administration released the long-awaited final changes to the Title IX regulations, which guide how schools implement the 1973 law that prohibited sex discrimination in education. The revised regulations modify significant aspects of rules adopted under the Trump administration in 2020 relating to how colleges and universities handle allegations of sexual assault. The new rules will take effect on Aug. 1, 2024, in time for the next academic year...
