Sanctions ordered in dispute between University of San Francisco and school district

Attorneys representing the university were accused of failing to provide supplemental discovery responses they allegedly promised to deliver in April.

A San Francisco judge on Thursday ordered attorneys for the University of San Francisco to pay $4,000 in discovery sanctions to the San Francisco Unified School District. The sanctions relate to the university's lawsuit seeking repayment of a $2.56 million fine it paid to the U.S. Department of Justice over allegations of fraudulent time sheets in a teacher residency program.
