Riverside County Sheriff's Department settles wrongful death lawsuit for $7.5 million
The lawsuit alleged that the sheriff's department used excessive force to remove a psychotic man from his cell, resulting in his cardiac arrest.
The family of a man who died while in custody of the Riverside County Sheriff's Department settled their wrongful death lawsuit against the county for $7.5 million.
Christopher P. Zumwalt's children were represented by John Burton of the Law Offices of John Burton in Pasadena. Zumwalt's parents were represented by Peter M. Williamson of Williamson Law Firm.
