Leilei Shan, a former senior manager of Corporate Engineering at Google, claims that he was fired in retaliation for reporting alleged misfeasance to the company related to its apprenticeship program and its association with non-profit InnoVantre Corp.

Google LLC's apprentice program collected donations from the company and its employees for a nonprofit that funneled "wealthy and well-connected" children to elite universities, according to a lawsuit filed Tuesday in Santa Clara County Superior Court.
