A federal judge has thrown out three claims filed by a group representing unhoused people against the City of Sacramento.
The ruling by U.S. District Court Judge Troy L. Nunley could provide a partial roadmap for other California cities. While attorneys for unhoused people have had recent success in federal court with constitutional claims, Nunley wrote that California's law and constitution provide fewer protections.
