Newly discovered emails reopen legal debate over Girardi's mental competency
Girardi's counsel said that after the conclusion of competency proceedings last year they obtained emails from the Girardi Keese law firm database that neither the court, nor any expert, had considered before.





Counsel for disbarred attorney Tom Girardi are relying on newly discovered emails sent by former Girardi Keese employees airing concerns that Girardi was "less than coherent" and needed to receive information multiple times in their bid to have a Los Angeles court allow a neurology expert to testify in his wire fraud trial. They argue the testimony would allow jury inference of mental status evidence pursuant to a 1993 decision from the 9th Circuit.
