Judge made 'effort to forget' as much about case as possible

Judge William F. Highberger used a recent minute order to ask parties in a long running dispute to "re-educate" him on the facts of the case.

A Los Angeles County judge asked parties to "re-educate" him on a long-running dispute between a contractor and an investment group over a downtown construction project that halted when funding ran out. In a minute order issued Thursday, Judge William F. Highberger said he had disposed of nearly all reference files related to the lawsuit, which was first filed in 2019.
