Lawyers for Disney rely on actress' political speech claims to have lawsuit tossed
Counsel for Disney told the hearing that Gina Carano stated she "was fired because of her political views on the internet over six months repeatedly, and we agree with that."





A dispute over whether former Star Wars actress Gina Carano affirmatively alleged the reasoning behind her firing from the Disney+ series "The Mandalorian" ensued before a Los Angeles federal judge Wednesday. Disney's attorneys argued that because Carano gave specific reasons why Disney dismissed her, the company had an appropriate First Amendment defense to the claims.
